Research indicates that characteristics we are born with have more influence on our personality and development than any experience we may have in our life. Which do you consider to be the major influence?

Image result for personality

Study points out that the people born with certain inherent traits have an astounding effect on their personality and growth, in comparison with experience and knowledge they gain during their lifetime. In my opinion, the qualities which a person inherits at the time of birth do affect the building of a personality, but gaining experience and knowledge has a profound influence in shaping the personality.

Personality is a set of characteristics that reflect the way we think and act in a given situation. It is formed by four basic elements that are physical environment, heredity, culture and particular experiences. An individual develops his personality with a combination of these four aspects. When an individual is encountered with different situations he responds to them uniquely. These responses develop into habits and thus form a personality type. For example when Mahatma Gandhi was humiliated and thrown out of the train for riding first class, he responded strongly in a non violent way, and started a freedom struggle. That was a turning point in his life that shaped his personality and destiny.

With the new experience, a person develops new habits, develops etiquette and forms new attitudes. These are the stepping stones to form a personality. It has been noted that, whatever a child imbibes during the first seven years, forms the foundation of his personality. The new observations and experiences make a lasting impression on his mind. For instance Thomas Edison was expelled from the school during his childhood, but his mother didn’t make him realize about the fact. She encouraged and taught Edison at home, who turned out to become one of the world’s greatest scientist.

To recapitulate, it can be said that genetic traits do affect the personality of a person to some extent, but the environment in which he is brought up and the experiences that a person go through, deeply impact the personality.

Essay-Do you think that consumer should avoid over packed products or it is the responsibility of the producer to avoid extra packaging of products?” Give your views or any relevant example with your own experience.

In my opinion, the customer should discard the product with extra packaging as well as the manufacturer also share an equal responsibility of the commodities. On one hand, consumers should not buy the over packaged products, simultaneously they should buy products which have biodegradable packaging and finally shouldof segregate the dangerous packaging material while disposing off. On the other hand, the manufacturers should always look out new technology for packaging which is eco-friendly, go for bare minimum packaging that is required and should always follow the environmental laws.

Firstly, a lot of damage is done to the environment when packaging material is not properly disposed off. For example, plastic and polyethylene are not biodegradable and remains intact even after 1000 years. Secondly, lots of cardboards are used as packaging material for which lots of trees are cut down, which is the major cause of deforestation. Moreover, with additional packaging, the cost of the product also increases. Over packaging is also hazardous for the animal and aquatic life, as many animals’ dies by consuming polyethene and marine life is disturbed and choked when these materials are disposed in rivers or sea.

As a responsibility, the consumers should discard the over-packaged products and should go for biodegradable packaging products. Secondly, they should not dump the packaging materials along with the garbage. Any packaging material if there should be properly disposed off or recycled. Most importantly all the consumers should follow the environmental rules and regulation which will make their surrounding eco-friendly. Lastly, knowledge about keeping the environment clean and safe should be given in schools and colleges and citizens should organize awareness campaigns with the help of NGOs about the ill effect of extra packaging.

Lastly, the manufacturer should also take equal responsibility to avoid extra packaging. They should always look out for some new technology for biodegradable packaging. Secondly, producers should pack the products with only bare essential packaging. Finally, producers should always follow the environment rules and regulations in terms of extracting packaging material

All in all, it can be concluded that both consumers and manufacturers should share the responsibility and go hand in hand to avoid the ill effects of extra packaging.

Pros and Cons of extreme/adventurous sports

Pros and Cons of extreme/adventurous sports

Sports became an important part of our life. Everyone gets himself engaged in some kind of physical activities. Right from the childhood people plays sports. Trend is getting changed with the passage of time. Earlier most of people have interest in common games like cricket, hockey, football etc. Now they have developed their taste in adventurous sport like racing, boxing, climbing etc. Moreover, it’s become a passion of their life. Like a coin has two sides the extreme sports also have pros and cons. Firstly it makes the person famous and a good way to earn money, despite all this it is life threatening or can cause disability.

Today, it is not easy to make name and fame in the world where everyone has some kind of talent. People want to achieve their goal to become popular. People get attracted towards adventurous sport. They believe, that by indulging in dangerous sports activities, they can become a real hero and it actually happens as we can seen in the case of Mohammad Ali, the best boxer throughout his life even though when he died many big politicians like American  president, Indian prime minister twitted for him, as a legend.

Secondly, fame and fortune comes together. Extreme sports become a popular way of making money. Great example is set by Mr. Bean Grylls. He is earning good money by doing adventurous activities. And he is famous for his show named  “Man vs. Wild”. All he does are fearless activities.

Thirdly, the thrill or adventure in extreme sports can cause a life time injury.  Michael Schumacher who is a world champion of formula one racing is suffering because of adventurous sports and has gone in coma.

In nutshell, more safety measures need to be taken in extreme sports because life is a precious gift of God.

Essay 2

Adventure or dangerous sports are now becoming a new trend in today’s generation. However, some still think these sports has a risk of life and should be excluded. These sports have both advantages and disadvantages. According to me, the advantages of these sports are considerable like it is more thrilling and adventurous, acts as a stress busters and keeps us fit and energetic. However, it also has some disadvantages like it involves risk of life and property and have a negative effect on teenagers.

To begin with, adventurous sports usually have many benefits and are more popular among youngsters. These sports are done with a voluntary consent and helps an individual in many ways like it acts as a stress busters and also helps in increasing adrenal rush in body.Sports activities like White water rafting and Base Jumping, which are quite popular among the youngsters gives them a lot of thrill and excitement. It also instills a sense of achievement and set goals for others. Sports like para gliding and sky diving also help us in overcoming the phobias. Alexander Polli who got his fame in sky diving has set a new example for other people.

Secondly, dangerous sports have some disadvantages which outnumbers the advantages. It mainly includes the risk of life and permanent disabilities. Whereas it may act as a stress buster for athletes but it keeps the family members and near ones in stress every time as a result of these sports. Some athletes have also died because of their adventurous nature like Paul Walker- a famous actor and a car racer, who died in a car accident.

Like two sides of a coin, extreme sports come with their own set of merits and demerits. But one should always consider the positive sides and ignore its negative aspects also.

The 21st Century has begun. What changes do you think this new century will bring ? Use examples and details to explain your answer.

The 21st Century has begun. What changes do you think this new century will bring ? Use examples and details to explain your answer.

Historically, evolution has been in nature’s hands. Now, suddenly, it is largely in human hands, but we need to be cautious, using our scientific know-how as responsibly as possible. The job of today’s young people, or the “Transition Generation” will be to get humanity through the coming period of chaos, peril, and opportunity. Cognitive abilities of humans has helped him to transform Stone Age into age of technology in a phased manner.21st century heralded the era of transformation in every sphere of life to make the quality of life better . Be it education, infrastructure, medicines, weapons, food and the like.

With the development of infrastructure and means of communication like railways, airways, shipways, cars , world has transformed into global village . It is not just their development but also its frequency and speed which is constantly being improved and this century will witness self driven vehicles, flying cars, mono rails, space tourism and many more inventions which are beyond our imagination.

Life on extra terrestrial planets would become a reality. Astronomical innovations have provided us new insights into life which was earlier restricted to earth. It will help us to discover medicines of incurable or life threatening diseases as our space is treasure of rare earth materials and energy. It is already a proven fact that surgeries done in space have better result.

The basic problems of hunger, malnutrition, drinking water, with which our world is still afflicted would be lost into oblivion. With cutting edge technologies in food production like gene sequencing , Genome project, Bio-technology food, cross pollination , we will be able to grow foods with desired nutrients and too less land will be required to grow too much food.

However on the flip side, this century will also pose us with various threats in the form of global warming and subsequent thinning of ozone layer which may have catastrophic effects on all life forms on earth and might usher what is called as “Fifth Mass Destruction”. Also new diseases are emerging like Zika Virus, SARS, H1N1 flu, and new types of cancers. Furthermore due to changes in food chain there has been invasion of alien species which are intensifying the damage. Development of weapons of mass destruction like hydrogen bomb, chemical bombs would further pose new threats. Human cloning, Stem cells preservation may also bring unthinkable dangers.

All such fears have to be tackled and managed with utmost level of care and sophistication. Only then we can enjoy the real fruits of time. And we should be ready for all the threats by catapulting our strengths .
