Parents should be held legally responsible for their children’s acts. What is your opinion? Support it with personal examples. (295 words)

Parenting is a vital role in molding the behaviors of the children. Sometimes kids behave in an unacceptable and unpredictable manner which they might have learnt from their parents. Some people think that parents are responsible for their children’s behaviors, while others argue that parents cannot take responsibility for their children’s attitudes.I am inclined to believe that parents should be held legally responsible for their children’s acts. The following paragraphs will analyze the impacts of kids’ behaviors and suggest the importance of parent’s role in raising their children.

First of all, children are like a sponge, they absorb and imitate everything they observe. Further, they spend more time with their parents in childhood. So mostly they learn language, culture and manners by observing their parents. If parents are having faith and good habits, their children will become more likely with vision in life and have good habits. For instance, after Thomas Alva Edison’s school teacher called him mentally ill in a letter, Edison’s mother hid the letter from the young inventor and homeschooled him so that he could reach his full potential.

Second of all, are responsible parenting involves not only taking care of children’s basic needs but also teaching social behavior and discipline to them. Furthermore, parents should take accountability for the damages caused by their children in the society. For example, the leading actor Jackie Chan had taken responsibility for his son’s drug use and apologized to public on behalf of him by telling that he failed to be a good father.

In conclusion, the foregoing discussion propounds the view that the parents are solely and legally responsible for their children’s act.Further, it is expected that the people make cognizance of the fact and teach their children good values and moral responsibilities.

Discuss both sides of Space travel vs. current crucial problems faced by human?

Discuss both sides of Space travel vs. current crucial problems faced by humans?

Every year, many countries spend billions of dollars for space research. While this research has some hope for the involved scientists, the huge investment in such research is highly questionable, especially in developing and underdeveloped countries. Some people think that it is unnecessary to spend money for space research than dealing with crucial problems such as overpopulation, while others argue that the space research has benefited the society lot. This essay will elaborate on both ideas and come to a logical conclusion.

On one hand, space research brings knowledge, discoveries and improvements in our daily life.It helped tremendously in weather forecasting, education and security of the country. Further, the space explorations are being conducted by many countries to research and find the possibility of extra-terrestrial species and natural resources in other planets. For instance, NASA has found the evidence of water in Mars and it is conducting further research on it.

On the other hand, people in some countries are still facing crucial problems like overpopulation, lack of food, clean water and electricity. Instead of spending more money in space travel, the developed countries should think morally and ethically to help under developed countries. For example, many people in African countries are suffering from Ebola virus infection, drought and terrorism and lot of innocent people are dying every year. If US government decides to spend money to help, these devastating problems can be eradicated soon.

In conclusion, the foregoing discussion propounds the view that the over spending of tax payers’ money to space travel will not improve the quality of human life. Further, it is expected that the people make cognizance of the fact and urge their government to focus several more urgent issues that need to be funded.

In underdeveloped countries, tourism has disadvantages and can be said the opposite as well. Discuss

In underdeveloped countries, tourism has disadvantages and can be said the opposite as well. Discuss

In some nations, which are not developed, have multiple drawbacks in regards to the tourism but on the other hand, there are few countries which have taken the advantage of tourism and are prospering. In, my opinion the advantage of tourism in underdeveloped countries outweighs the disadvantages because tourism generates income and creates jobs which are essential for the sustainability of the nation. On the contrary, certain countries should focus on stabilising the current burning issues of the country, before venturing in tourism.

Tourism is a growing industry worldwide. With tourism, lots of people get employment and the local business flourishes. Tourism brings with itself a huge inflow of foreign currency, which strengthens the economy of the country. Many people in the service industry like hotels, transportation, restaurants gets employment and are engaged. For instance, Nepal is well known for the world’s highest mountain peak “Mount Everest”. Multiple tourists flock Nepal every year for mountaineering and sports. In the due course, the Nepali locals are involved in providing the best service to the foreigners and thus earn their living. In addition to it, a good economy would also ensure best facilities for tourists, who give a positive feedback and in return brings in more tourists. Subsequently, it is up to the government of the country to highlight its uniqueness and portray to the world and build its brand value. To illustrate this, In India foreigners visit the country to learn Yoga, enjoy nat urotherapy and study the historical monuments like Taj Mahal.

On the other hand, certain underdeveloped countries like Somalia, Afghanistan, Syria are always engaged in local war, which prevents the tourists from visiting them. Furthermore, other issues like political instability, internal conflicts, terrorism, racism, epidemics and illegal drug activities further deteriorate the chances of tourism development. The first priority of the country is to neutralise these issues and then focus on the tourism. Many underdeveloped countries like Ethiopia, Congo are still struggling to arrange food, medicine and basic facilities for their citizens, So, it would be in best interest for these countries to focus on their development rather than tourism.

Finally, promoting tourism in underdevelopment will always be a challenge, but with a political will, it can lead the country to prosperity.

Pros and Cons of extreme/adventurous sports

Pros and Cons of extreme/adventurous sports

Sports became an important part of our life. Everyone gets himself engaged in some kind of physical activities. Right from the childhood people plays sports. Trend is getting changed with the passage of time. Earlier most of people have interest in common games like cricket, hockey, football etc. Now they have developed their taste in adventurous sport like racing, boxing, climbing etc. Moreover, it’s become a passion of their life. Like a coin has two sides the extreme sports also have pros and cons. Firstly it makes the person famous and a good way to earn money, despite all this it is life threatening or can cause disability.

Today, it is not easy to make name and fame in the world where everyone has some kind of talent. People want to achieve their goal to become popular. People get attracted towards adventurous sport. They believe, that by indulging in dangerous sports activities, they can become a real hero and it actually happens as we can seen in the case of Mohammad Ali, the best boxer throughout his life even though when he died many big politicians like American  president, Indian prime minister twitted for him, as a legend.

Secondly, fame and fortune comes together. Extreme sports become a popular way of making money. Great example is set by Mr. Bean Grylls. He is earning good money by doing adventurous activities. And he is famous for his show named  “Man vs. Wild”. All he does are fearless activities.

Thirdly, the thrill or adventure in extreme sports can cause a life time injury.  Michael Schumacher who is a world champion of formula one racing is suffering because of adventurous sports and has gone in coma.

In nutshell, more safety measures need to be taken in extreme sports because life is a precious gift of God.

Essay 2

Adventure or dangerous sports are now becoming a new trend in today’s generation. However, some still think these sports has a risk of life and should be excluded. These sports have both advantages and disadvantages. According to me, the advantages of these sports are considerable like it is more thrilling and adventurous, acts as a stress busters and keeps us fit and energetic. However, it also has some disadvantages like it involves risk of life and property and have a negative effect on teenagers.

To begin with, adventurous sports usually have many benefits and are more popular among youngsters. These sports are done with a voluntary consent and helps an individual in many ways like it acts as a stress busters and also helps in increasing adrenal rush in body.Sports activities like White water rafting and Base Jumping, which are quite popular among the youngsters gives them a lot of thrill and excitement. It also instills a sense of achievement and set goals for others. Sports like para gliding and sky diving also help us in overcoming the phobias. Alexander Polli who got his fame in sky diving has set a new example for other people.

Secondly, dangerous sports have some disadvantages which outnumbers the advantages. It mainly includes the risk of life and permanent disabilities. Whereas it may act as a stress buster for athletes but it keeps the family members and near ones in stress every time as a result of these sports. Some athletes have also died because of their adventurous nature like Paul Walker- a famous actor and a car racer, who died in a car accident.

Like two sides of a coin, extreme sports come with their own set of merits and demerits. But one should always consider the positive sides and ignore its negative aspects also.

The 21st Century has begun. What changes do you think this new century will bring ? Use examples and details to explain your answer.

The 21st Century has begun. What changes do you think this new century will bring ? Use examples and details to explain your answer.

Historically, evolution has been in nature’s hands. Now, suddenly, it is largely in human hands, but we need to be cautious, using our scientific know-how as responsibly as possible. The job of today’s young people, or the “Transition Generation” will be to get humanity through the coming period of chaos, peril, and opportunity. Cognitive abilities of humans has helped him to transform Stone Age into age of technology in a phased manner.21st century heralded the era of transformation in every sphere of life to make the quality of life better . Be it education, infrastructure, medicines, weapons, food and the like.

With the development of infrastructure and means of communication like railways, airways, shipways, cars , world has transformed into global village . It is not just their development but also its frequency and speed which is constantly being improved and this century will witness self driven vehicles, flying cars, mono rails, space tourism and many more inventions which are beyond our imagination.

Life on extra terrestrial planets would become a reality. Astronomical innovations have provided us new insights into life which was earlier restricted to earth. It will help us to discover medicines of incurable or life threatening diseases as our space is treasure of rare earth materials and energy. It is already a proven fact that surgeries done in space have better result.

The basic problems of hunger, malnutrition, drinking water, with which our world is still afflicted would be lost into oblivion. With cutting edge technologies in food production like gene sequencing , Genome project, Bio-technology food, cross pollination , we will be able to grow foods with desired nutrients and too less land will be required to grow too much food.

However on the flip side, this century will also pose us with various threats in the form of global warming and subsequent thinning of ozone layer which may have catastrophic effects on all life forms on earth and might usher what is called as “Fifth Mass Destruction”. Also new diseases are emerging like Zika Virus, SARS, H1N1 flu, and new types of cancers. Furthermore due to changes in food chain there has been invasion of alien species which are intensifying the damage. Development of weapons of mass destruction like hydrogen bomb, chemical bombs would further pose new threats. Human cloning, Stem cells preservation may also bring unthinkable dangers.

All such fears have to be tackled and managed with utmost level of care and sophistication. Only then we can enjoy the real fruits of time. And we should be ready for all the threats by catapulting our strengths .

As computers are being used more and more in education, there will be soon no role for the teachers in the classroom.

As computers are being used more and more in education, there will be soon no role for the teachers in the classroom.

The extensive use of Internet and computers in variety of activities and especially in education has led to a debate that because of over-dependence of computers the role of the teachers will be diminished in the classroom. I, strongly believe that in today’s world classroom teaching cannot be replaced by computers because, computers have limited role to play in the classroom, whereas teachers can teach the students in multiple ways, as per need and provides an excellent learning environment.

Initially, the computers support the classroom teaching, as an excellent aid. In addition to it, internet can provide you a vast pool of knowledge, but it’s only the teacher who can guide you to optimum utilization of the information. Moreover, as a mentor a teacher understand the strengths and weaknesses of his student and can motivate the pupils accordingly from his experience. Unlike computers teachers can always have a one to one interaction and provide the valuable feedback to his students to improve their performance. For instance in Harvard and Oxford University, one mentor is assigned per student throughout his course to guide and evaluate him.

On the other hand computer is a machine. No doubts it follow all the orders given to it and internet consists of ocean of information. It can be of much use, when there is a lack of classroom coaching. In the absence of teacher, internet can substitute the tutor and provide the essential learning. Students can have access to latest information on technology, expert views and opinions and even participate in the virtual lectures.

Last but not the least, we all have to understand that it is the humans who have discovered computers and internet for the benefit of the human race. Internet is just a medium to bring the whole world under one roof. The content available on the internet is the work of humans which is available for everyone to make optimal use of it. It is up to us how much dependent on computers we become or how creative can we can turn into.

Polygamy has led to massive divorce rate around the globe. Give possible solutions for various situations to reduce the issues

Polygamy has led to massive divorce rate around the globe. Give possible solutions for various situations to reduce the issues

Polygamy means a Man can have multiple wives. Multiple marriages by individuals have enhanced the divorce rate in many places around the world. Polygamy gives rise to many crises like domestic violence, clash of thoughts, hike in expenses, mismanagement of resources, inheritance disputes and jealousy among family members. It becomes very difficult to maintain relationships which lead to separation. In my opinion the possible solutions to these issues are in the introduction of strict laws, motivating for women empowerment and compulsory education  or all.

In polygamous society, man seeks wife among woman of younger ages. As he continues to have multiple partners, the earlier wives get dejected and the man loses interest in them. This leads to clash of thoughts, domestic violence, conflict of interests, jealousy and discord.  Repeated incidents, further breaks the relationship, and finally ends up with a divorce. In addition to it the children of polygamous wives also suffers emotionally and for economic resources.

According to me the solution for these issues lie in a monogamous relationship. On the other hand government should impose stricter laws so that the women are not exploited by men. Also women should be made aware about their rights and be provided with equal rights in the society. Women empowerment should be encouraged, to reduce the dependency of women on men. An educated man and woman can take wise decisions, so government should encourage the citizens to provide compulsory education to all children. Alternatively, in case of divorce a heavy amount of alimony should be imposed in order to discourage it.

Lastly, spreading awareness and campaigns about the ill effects of polygamy can also be an effective way to tackle the issues. It is a well known fact that “unity is strength” and a united family will always bring prosperity.
