The development of any nation lies in the improvement of the health, education and trade of that country. Keeping good health keeps you mentally and physically fit which is essential for people to contribute towards their country.  It is said that the stronger the foundation, the stronger will be the building. Similarly education forms the base on which many talents have to be nourished. So an education with strong values and principles will form the groundwork, and shape a path for many able and genius scholars. Furthermore the trade is essential to keep up with the basic economic requirements of any country. The flourishing of business activities is directly proportional to the development of any nation.

Richer nations play a vital role in cultivating and prospering the poorer nations. Instead of giving grants and loans they can directly help the poorer nations in educating, training and developing business with them.  For Instance Cuba a small country is known for its world class health services. Strong network of health services in Cuba ensures that not only the citizens can reach the doctors anytime, but the doctors also visit every citizen for checkup twice a year.

When talking about education, Finland’s free and equal education for everybody is a typical example which demonstrates how any government can strengthen its education system. In addition to it, if you remember, Japan was devastated after Hiroshima & Nagasaki bombing.  Japan has emerged from a wrecked nation and built a world-class best public transport services, which has been the backbone of the trade in the country.

To conclude, the richer nations should act like a mentor and strengthen up the process of developing the poorer nation.

Essay Topic: Some people think studying from the past offers no benefits to today’s life, while others believe that history is a valuable source of information for us. Discuss both views and give our own opinion.

Image result for history

There has been considerable debate about the values of studying history. While it is argued that there are no advantages of learning history, I believe that history can bring more benefits.

It is claimed that it is not beneficial to learn from the past. At various schools, students may put exam-based learning methods into practice to satisfy the requirements of exams and tests. Consequently, they are obliged to make every effort to memorize historical developments and events. In several cases, they get stressful and overloaded with history related knowledge which does not provide foundations for their doing research into scientific fields like engineering or medicine. For example, in my hometown, most school students apply test-oriented approaches in historical lessons, causing students to be bombarded with historical knowledge, which is not beneficial in supplying background knowledge for them to realize their dream to major in computer engineering or medical sciences at university.

Nonetheless, from my viewpoint, history should become a more precious informative source. Thanks to history classes or museum artifacts related to past wars, there is every likelihood of young generations accumulating a profound knowledge of the sacrifice and contributions of their ancestors in the resistance war against foreign invaders, followed by cultivating their national pride and patriotism. As a result, they may have a tendency to be supplied with motivation and inspiration to put almost every effort into perfecting themselves and making contributions to national development. Another explanation may be that no sooner are students exposed to history lectures than they could enhance their understanding of valuable lessons about successes and failures in the process of predecessors’ national construction and defense. Hence, they might reach higher maturity and greater confidence in avoiding the same mistakes and making wise decisions for their future careers and life.

In conclusion, although people think history lessons can be of no importance, I am of the opinion that there are more benefits of studying history as a huge reservoir of knowledge.

Do you think consumers should avoid over packaged products or is it the responsibility of producers?

Image result for over packaging examples

In my opinion over packaged products poses a threat to the environment and it should be reduced to a bare minimum level. According to me both the customers and the manufactures should share the responsibility of this burden.

First of all, during the festive seasons the products are over packed unnecessarily, just to give a flashy and gaudy look. After opening the product, the wrappings are discarded. The plastic material used for the packaging when dumped does not get decomposed and is consumed by the stray animals. So at the consumer end, people should avoid buying such over packaged products. In addition people should also organize awareness campaigns on social media and other platforms about the ill effects of the discarded packaging materials.

On the other hand, producers should also understand their responsibility regarding the use of packaging material. Nowadays lot of research is going on to invent new and unique packaging materials. The nature of packaging industry is changing dramatically. According to the new regulations virgin or raw plastic usage is being reduced. Instead companies are being encouraged to use recyclable and re-usable plastic. Companies like Nestle and PepsiCo already have started using this practice. Research is going on to develop new fiber based packaging material. Robotics is also being introduced to develop smart packaging to cut down the food wastage. Many companies are changing to bio-active packaging which has a positive effect on the consumer’s health. In addition, active packaging is also gaining popularity to satisfy the consumer’s demand for natural, recyclable and biodegradable packaging material.

To recapitulate, it can be said that over packaged products can be easily avoided by the consumers to send a message across the producers who can shift to safer ways of packaging.

Research indicates that characteristics we are born with have more influence on our personality and development than any experience we may have in our life. Which do you consider to be the major influence?

Image result for personality

Study points out that the people born with certain inherent traits have an astounding effect on their personality and growth, in comparison with experience and knowledge they gain during their lifetime. In my opinion, the qualities which a person inherits at the time of birth do affect the building of a personality, but gaining experience and knowledge has a profound influence in shaping the personality.

Personality is a set of characteristics that reflect the way we think and act in a given situation. It is formed by four basic elements that are physical environment, heredity, culture and particular experiences. An individual develops his personality with a combination of these four aspects. When an individual is encountered with different situations he responds to them uniquely. These responses develop into habits and thus form a personality type. For example when Mahatma Gandhi was humiliated and thrown out of the train for riding first class, he responded strongly in a non violent way, and started a freedom struggle. That was a turning point in his life that shaped his personality and destiny.

With the new experience, a person develops new habits, develops etiquette and forms new attitudes. These are the stepping stones to form a personality. It has been noted that, whatever a child imbibes during the first seven years, forms the foundation of his personality. The new observations and experiences make a lasting impression on his mind. For instance Thomas Edison was expelled from the school during his childhood, but his mother didn’t make him realize about the fact. She encouraged and taught Edison at home, who turned out to become one of the world’s greatest scientist.

To recapitulate, it can be said that genetic traits do affect the personality of a person to some extent, but the environment in which he is brought up and the experiences that a person go through, deeply impact the personality.
