Pros and Cons of extreme/adventurous sports

Sports became an important part of our life. Everyone gets himself engaged in some kind of physical activities. Right from the childhood people plays sports. Trend is getting changed with the passage of time. Earlier most of people have interest in common games like cricket, hockey, football etc. Now they have developed their taste in adventurous sport like racing, boxing, climbing etc. Moreover, it’s become a passion of their life. Like a coin has two sides the extreme sports also have pros and cons. Firstly it makes the person famous and a good way to earn money, despite all this it is life threatening or can cause disability.

Today, it is not easy to make name and fame in the world where everyone has some kind of talent. People want to achieve their goal to become popular. People get attracted towards adventurous sport. They believe, that by indulging in dangerous sports activities, they can become a real hero and it actually happens as we can seen in the case of Mohammad Ali, the best boxer throughout his life even though when he died many big politicians like American  president, Indian prime minister twitted for him, as a legend.

Secondly, fame and fortune comes together. Extreme sports become a popular way of making money. Great example is set by Mr. Bean Grylls. He is earning good money by doing adventurous activities. And he is famous for his show named  “Man vs. Wild”. All he does are fearless activities.

Thirdly, the thrill or adventure in extreme sports can cause a life time injury.  Michael Schumacher who is a world champion of formula one racing is suffering because of adventurous sports and has gone in coma.

In nutshell, more safety measures need to be taken in extreme sports because life is a precious gift of God.

Adventure or dangerous sports are now becoming a new trend in today’s generation. However, some still think these sports has a risk of life and should be excluded. These sports have both advantages and disadvantages. According to me, the advantages of these sports are considerable like it is more thrilling and adventurous, acts as a stress busters and keeps us fit and energetic. However, it also has some disadvantages like it involves risk of life and property and have a negative effect on teenagers.

To begin with, adventurous sports usually have many benefits and are more popular among youngsters. These sports are done with a voluntary consent and helps an individual in many ways like it acts as a stress busters and also helps in increasing adrenal rush in body.Sports activities like White water rafting and Base Jumping, which are quite popular among the youngsters gives them a lot of thrill and excitement. It also instills a sense of achievement and set goals for others. Sports like para gliding and sky diving also help us in overcoming the phobias. Alexander Polli who got his fame in sky diving has set a new example for other people.

Secondly, dangerous sports have some disadvantages which outnumbers the advantages. It mainly includes the risk of life and permanent disabilities. Whereas it may act as a stress buster for athletes but it keeps the family members and near ones in stress every time as a result of these sports. Some athletes have also died because of their adventurous nature like Paul Walker- a famous actor and a car racer, who died in a car accident.

Like two sides of a coin, extreme sports come with their own set of merits and demerits. But one should always consider the positive sides and ignore its negative aspects also.
